A New Baby at Sri Ram Ashram |

The most exciting recent news at Sri Ram Ashram in India is that a new baby girl has arrived! The story that came with her told that she was found in a sugar cane field by a worker who just happened to be passing by. Odd… we’ve heard that same story a number of times before. Whatever the truth of the matter, she arrived in apparently good condition, but she was tiny (about 3 ½ pounds) and she felt cold. Ashram staff scurried to gather tiny clothes and sterilize bottles. Babaji gave her the name “Sita.” She was taken to the pediatrician’s clinic for an exam. Because the baby was not eating and not able to retain warmth on her own, it was decided to take her to Delhi where she could get the best care possible. After a couple of weeks there, she was eating well enough to come home to Sri Ram Ashram. Baby Sita is gradually gaining weight. We are delighted to have her join the Sri Ram family.
